The success of DLT has led to fascinating research along multiple interesting lines, from pure technology to economic and social science.
The Distributed Ledger Technology Workshop, at its first edition, aims to bring together interested scholars from all relevant disciplines who study DLTs and their surrounding ecosystems. The primary goal is to foster discussion and cross-fertilisation of ideas among experts in different fields related to DLTs, and thus advance the national and international state-of-the-art.
The event is organised by the University of Perugia, and it is hosted by the Università dei Sapori on February, 1st. Besides 15 scientific seminars given by researchers from Italy and abroad, the workshop programme features speeches from institutions (Banca d'Italia) and industries (Deloitte Fintech Group), and a panel on challenges and expectations of Distributed Ledger Technologies.
Blockchain@Unica is present at the workshop, with a talk on Bitcoin smart contracts by Massimo Bartoletti, and a talk on blockchain-oriented software engineering by Michele Marchesi.
